Belief StatementOswego District #308 believes writing is an essential part of the learning process. Writing enables students to become better thinkers and learners, helping them establish a place in the world through the sharing of experiences and ideas. The ability to write well improves with practice in all subject areas. Clear, effective written communication impacts all areas of life--academic, vocational and personal.

Grading StatementWriting is a cross-curricular skill, with topic content, writing conventions, and format as parts of an assignment grade. Individual teachers decide the criteria for grading each assignment.
